Israel kills 5-year-old terrorist in Gaza! Photo included

Gaza, (Pal Telegraph) – Many media outlets adopt the Israeli accounts without making sure about its validity.  The attack in Eilat which claimed the lives of 7 Israelis was vivid that it has targeted armed soldiers. Yet, Israeli media outlets led by Haaretz said “People” were killed, afterwards we have seen photos of the scene where military bags indicate it was a military target.

Sadly, all professional media outlets circulated that one side of the story without carrying out any journalistic efforts. BBC, CNN, AFP, Reuters and the key outlets said that civilians were attacked in Israeli resort in Eilat. Shortly, contradictions started to arise as Israeli army released photos of some of the killed soldiers.  Haaretz, published a piece of news showing Israeli PM visiting some soldiers in the hospital.

Moving to the Palestinian side, Israel retaliated quickly and killed a number of Palestinian freedom fighters. A child has been killed in the area as the attack took place within a very densely populated area. However, no single Palestinian factions claimed the responsibility of the Eilat attacks.
In the same night, Israel launched further attacks and killed a number of civilians including a boy aged 13. We can’t really confirm if this boy was a terrorist or not!

Yesterday, a Palestinian medic, his 5-year-old child, Islam and his brother were killed in Gaza city. They were targeted by a drone while in a motorcycle. None of the media outlets presented their story with balance yet they continue their bias saying Israel is responding to the Palestinian terror.
The boy Islam Qaraqi is 5 years old. The photo above shows what happened to him. He was grilled like by the Israeli attack rockets.

Islam was about to join his KG1 within days. His parents bought him some stationary and a nice bag. He didn’t wear his new clothing yet!

Sarcastically, we “believe” Israel killed this child because he planned the attacks in Israel. This little child is responsible for the death of many Israeli soldiers! Israel killed him in act of self-defense! This child is responsible for that terror in Israel which is like the terror in 9-11 in the US, 7/7 in London and Madrid bombings!

Yet again, Israel uses the term “terror” to justify its acts. However, terrorism has not been defined yet. What’s happening in Palestine is not terror but a kind of resistance of people under occupation.  That resistance is guaranteed by International law. It’s the same of the American resistance in quest of independence and the British one against the Nazis.

Aksi Heroik Pemuda Mesir, Panjat Dinding, Robek Bendera Israel

Minggu, 21/08/2011 13:55 WIB

Aktivis Serukan Boikot Berlian Darah Israel

Minggu, 21/08/2011 00:35 WIB

Israel threatens to strike Gaza painfully

[ 21/08/2011 - 04:02 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)– Minister of Israel’s internal security Yitzhak Aharonovich threatened to deal a painful strike to Hamas Movement in response to the wave of counterattacks launched by the Palestinian resistance lately.

Aharonovich made his threats on Saturday evening during a visit to a house hit by a grad missile in Beersheba city, which led to the killing of two Jewish settlers and the injury of ten others.

“Israel will strike Hamas painfully and things will be clearer in the next few days,” he stated.
A number of right-wing Knesset members also called for responding to Beersheba attack by assassinating Hamas leaders, especially premier Ismail Haneyya and political leader Khaled Mashaal, and reinvading Gaza.

Israeli security officials held Hamas and its armed wing Al-Qassam Brigades fully responsible for Beersheba attack and demanded an immediate military response.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper stated for its part that the Israeli security cabinet held on Saturday an urgent meeting to discuss the ways to escalate the military action against the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

A reporter for Israel’s channel two said the Israeli army moved its tanks to Gaza borders following the military escalation, which he described as dangerous, in the area to the south of the 1948 occupied lands.

Palestinian resistance fighters were widely deployed along the borderline of Gaza in anticipation of any Israeli military moves into the Strip, according to eyewitnesses.

Hamas demands Arab League to act against Israel’s crimes in Gaza

[ 21/08/2011 - 04:09 PM ]

DAMASCUS, (PIC)– The Hamas Movement demanded the Arab League to take decisive and concrete decisions to confront Israel’s aggression against the Gaza Strip and its violation of Egypt’s sovereignty.

Hamas in a statement called on the Arab League to activate in its emergency meeting on Sunday the political and economic boycott against the Israeli occupation.

It also demanded the League to enforce the previous resolutions it took to break Gaza blockade and support the Palestinian people’s steadfastness.

For their part, Hamas lawmakers in the West Bank strongly denounced the international silence on Israel’s crimes in Gaza.

The lawmakers in a press release said this silence is complicity in the killing of children, women and civilians that happens everyday in Gaza, and encourages Israel to commit more crimes.

They appealed to the Arab governments to assume their responsibilities towards Gaza people and move to stop Israel’s massacres.

'Israel exploiting attacks to sway UN'

Sun Aug 21, 2011 5:16PM GMT

A Palestinian professor believes that Israel is using the attacks on its soldiers in a bid to prove to the UN that the Palestinians do not deserve a state of their own.

“This [attack on Israeli soldiers] is going to give Netanyahu enough time to launch a diplomatic attack on the Palestinians and that the Palestinians do not deserve a state of their own as a result of the attack on Israeli soldiers and civilians in Eilat,” Mukhaimer Abu Saada, a professor at al-Azhar University, told Press TV.

Israel mounted its airstrikes on the impoverished Gaza Strip, immediately after the attack on Israeli buses and a military vehicle near the Red Sea resort of Eilat, which left eight Israeli forces dead.
Tel Aviv has accused Hamas of being behind the Thursday rocket attack on Israel.

Hamas, however, has strongly denied the allegations and warned against any act of aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The renewed Israeli violence against Palestinians comes at a time when the Palestinian Authority is heading to the UN for a statehood bid in September.

Experts say instability and possible violent attacks by Israel and counter attacks by Palestinian factions will likely hamper Palestinian efforts for statehood.

More than 100 countries have so far officially recognized Palestine as a sovereign state based on the 1967 borders.

Israeli military forces have arrested at least 120 Palestinians, including members of the Islamic Hamas movement, in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron).

At least 100 Israeli jeeps and military vehicles raided al-Khalil early on Sunday and launched a massive arrest operation, a Press TV correspondent reported on Sunday.

Most detainees belong to Hamas, including members of the Palestinian Legislative Council Mohammed Abu J'heisha and local leaders of Hamas' social committees.

The Israeli forces have closed all entrances to the city and have been stationed on the streets.

Israel launched an airstrike on the Gaza Strip on Thursday immediately after assaults targeted two Israeli buses and a military vehicle near the Red Sea resort of Eilat, killing eight Israeli forces.

Tel Aviv has accused Hamas of being behind the Thursday rocket attack on Israel.

Hamas, however, has strongly denied the allegations and warned against any act of aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Health ministry warns of medical crisis as Israeli attacks escalate

[ 21/08/2011 - 10:48 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- Spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf Al-Qudra warned that 310 types of medicines and medical consumables are no longer available in the Gaza Strip and will result in serious consequences especially in light of the escalating Israeli aggression.

"In light of the repeated Zionist attacks on our people in the Gaza Strip, we appeal to those who have living conscience to provide the health sector with its needs of medicines and medical consumables," Qudra said in a press release on Saturday.

He noted that the limited amount of anesthetic drugs are about to run out completely from emergency and surgery units because of the increasing number of causalities admitted into Gaza hospital.

Israeli troops assault citizens during wide raid on Silwan homes

Israeli troops assault citizens during wide raid on Silwan homes

21-08-2011,13:59

Al Qassam website- Occupied Jerusalem- A large number of Israeli troops on Saturday stormed Silwan district, south of the Aqsa Mosque, violently breaking into homes, pointing their weapons at residents and assaulting some young men.

An official source from Silwan defense committee said today that the invading Israeli force included a number of armored military and police vehicles boarded by dozens of armed troops and policemen.

The police chief in occupied Jerusalem and a number of senior officers were among the raiding force. Palestinian prisoner Ishak Arafah was also seen shackled from his legs and handcuffed while being escorted by soldiers.

The source added that the house of prisoner Arafah was among many houses raided by the troops who forced many families to evacuate their houses. The troops used wild dogs and electronic devices during their sweep.

A Palestinian young man called Nezal Aqel was kidnapped this morning by Israeli troops from outside his home in Assammar area between the neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah and Shuafat, according to local sources.

Eyewitnesses reported that Aqel was standing outside his home along with some friends when Israeli troops aboard a military car arrived in and ordered them provocatively to show their IDs and without reason they embarked on beating and cursing them before some neighbors intervened and saved the young men from the hands of the soldiers.

They added that the troops left the area, but after a while a female soldier escorted by male troops appeared and without prior notice sprayed Aqel's face with pepper spray before taking him handcuffed to an unknown destination.

The mother of the young man reportedly lost her consciousness after what she saw happening to her son and was taken to hospital.

In Al-Khalil city, a 16-year-old called Saleh Shehadeh was also kidnapped by Israeli troops on the same day from his home in Abu Sunaina neighborhood.

Four other Palestinian young men were kidnapped yesterday morning by Israeli security troops in the Old City of Jerusalem on allegation of throwing stones at Israeli soldiers.

Hamas: No ceasefire until Israel stops offensive

Hamas: No ceasefire until Israel stops offensive

21-08-2011,13:29

Al Qassam website- Gaza- Senior Hamas official Ahmad Bahar said Saturday that there would be no ceasefire until Israel stopped its offensive on the Palestinian people.

"Any talk about ceasefire between resistance factions and the Israeli occupation must be preceded by halting the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people," Bahar said in a statement.

The first deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council said the Palestinian people and their resistance were entitled to self-defense by any accessible means.

"The Israeli occupation fiercely attacks Gaza mistakenly believing that it is the weakest link in the current equation," he said.

Israel's reliance on "illusionary arrogance and military might" was a miscalculation, he added, warning that the resistance would "teach the enemy unforgettable lessons, and remind them that deterrence is symmetrical."

"The Palestinian people have not triggered the escalation which Israeli occupation is trying to use to achieve exposed internal and external goals."

Since Thursday, warplanes have bombarded the Gaza Strip killing 14 Palestinians and wounding dozens more.

Israeli occupation army's leaders threaten of conducting a ground attack on the Strip.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) conducted a brutal war against the besieged Gaza Strip killing 1,400 Palestinians most were from elders women and children.

UK govt openly backs Zionist funded EDL

Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:59AM GMT

Analysts have voiced their concerns over British government's miscarriage of justice, sentencing a boy for stealing a bottle of water to six months imprisonment, but gave away an EDL thug attacking a mosque with £ 200.

British government has taken one more step in favor of Zionist funded English Defence League (EDL) by passing very light sentences on its members who overtly shouted “we'll burn your mosques.”

During last week's massive unrests across England, thousands of people were arrested and appeared in courts and received harsh sentences even on minor crimes, since the cabinet ministers reportedly violated the judiciary's independence.

Following the widespread unrests in England, two men were sentenced to four years in prison for inciting riots on Facebook and one man was sentenced to 18 months for having a stolen TV in his car.

Claiming to be independent, UK Judiciary system has been imposing tough sentences against protesters to prevent them from further anti-government demonstrations in the country.

Frank Fernie, a 20-year-old student at York College, has been given a 12-month sentence for throwing two placard sticks at police in Piccadilly on the anti-cuts strikes on March 26.

Charlie Gilmour, son of the Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, recieved 16 months for hanging off a flag at the cenotaph, sitting on a car and throwing a bin at a convoy of cars taking Prince Charles to the theatre during a student protest last year.

However, Andrew Ossit, the supporter of the extreme right-wing group, appeared at Calderdale Magistrates' Court for an act of religious aggravation and got away with a £100 fine along with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Several British unions and activists have many times expressed their surprise over the support government is giving to the anti-Islam group, and urged Prime Minister to ban the EDL rallies across Britain because violence erupted in their protests.

Analysts also insisted that David Cameron has obviously failed to notice that Norway terrorist Anders Behring Breivik, who caused deaths and injuries to many Norwegian people, confirmed having links with EDL leaders.

Since the formation of racist group EDL in 2009, UK leading unions have accused the government of failing to clamp down on extreme, right wing, and fundamentalist group that staged several anti-Muslim demonstrations shouting against spread of Islam and Muslim communities in Britain.

Three Palestinians, including child, injured in Israeli air strikes

Three Palestinians, including child, injured in Israeli air strikes

21-08-2011,11:28

Al Qassam website- Gaza- Three Palestinians, among them a child, were injured Saturday as Israeli warplanes carried out several strikes on the Gaza Strip.

The warplanes fired at least one missile around a petrol station at the edge of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza Strip injuring one man, Palestinian sources said.

He was transported to a local hospital, medical sources said, describing his injuries as minor.

Two others in the Al-Shaja’iyya district of Gaza were injured after being fired at by a reconnaissance plane hovering over the area.

Witnesses said reconnaissance planes struck a civilian vehicle near Muadh ben Jabal school in the Al-Shaja’iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza at noon Saturday.

They added that at least one Palestinian was injured and lost his foot in the strike. In addition, a child was left with minor injuries in the same strike.

Since Thursday, fifteen Palestinians have died and some forty have been injured in a string of Israeli strikes.
Among the casualties was the secretary general of the Popular Resistance Committees Kamal al-Neireb and four members of the same organization during a strike in Rafah in southern Gaza Strip.

Open letter to Interpol, Jane’s Addiction and Blonde Redhead: Don’t play apartheid Israel!

As Israel continues to pound the daylights out of the Gaza Strip, several US bands remain committed to entertaining audiences in Tel Aviv.

On 30 August, New York-based post-punk/indie rocks band Interpol and Blonde Redhead, along with southern California’s punk-psychedelic rockers Jane’s Addiction, are scheduled to play the “Pic.Nic Festival” in Tel Aviv, thus ignoring the Palestinian-led call for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS).

The Israeli solidarity group Boycott! Supporting the Palestinian BDS Call From Within (BFW) recently issued an open letter to the bands urging them to refuse to collaborate with Israel’s apartheid, occupation and racism. The letter states, in part:
Israeli propaganda will gladly announce that you are coming to perform in “the only Democracy in the Middle East”, but your Palestinian fans in the Occupied Territories will not even be allowed to come to Tel Aviv and enjoy your performance. Furthermore, the Pic.Nic festival is produced by Shuki Weiss, who has a special relationship with the Israeli establishment. Mr. Weiss attended Knesset meetings which have led to draconian anti-democratic legislation to outlaw boycotts, and he sends Israeli politicians VIP tickets to concerts which he produces. This is not just corruption within the system, but corruption that serves to whitewash Israel’s war crimes against the Palestinian people, using international artists such as you.

You have an opportunity to stand with the oppressed. Please don’t play in apartheid Israel, until it complies with international law and ends the occupation over the occupied territories, recognizes full equality for its Palestinian citizens and respects and protects the Palestinian refugee’s right of return to their homes and properties.
In addition to the open letter, a campaign is underway on Facebook to educate the bands about the political reality behind playing a show in Tel Aviv. Activists are encouraging fans of Interpol in particular to write directly to the band’s management, and have drafted a sample letter, while campaigners with the US Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (USACBI) have authored some sample tweets to help solidarity activists publicize the call.

Israel kills 15 in Gaza then tries to shift blame to Hamas

Quoting from Haaretz:
“In response to the ongoing rocket fire, an IDF spokesperson stated that the military will not tolerate any attempt at harming Israeli civilians or soldiers, and will continue to “act with determination and strength against any source of terror.” The spokesperson also claimed that Hamas must be “held responsible” for the ongoing attacks.”
Israel is quickly trying to shift the blame for the war crimes it is committing in Gaza to Hamas. Suddenly those firing rockets (after 10 were killed for no reason last night, now 15) are the bad guys and Israel is the good guy doing self defense in this equation.

In times like this, what alternative would you give to the resistance groups other than fire rockets? Their families are killed, their children are either dying or becoming handicapped due to continuous raids. The 1.6 million population of Gaza is terrorized night and day, there isn’t any place in that open air prison safe from the random Israeli shelling, not even UNRWA schools as we have seen in 2009. Israel aims to collectively punish all those who live in Gaza for the crime of living in Gaza.

Let us keep in mind that for the past two years, al-Qassam and the majority of Gaza factions have respected the ceasefire treaty in order to maintain security in the besieged Gaza Strip. In fact, Hamas faced internal issues after it started suppressing armed groups who planned to launch rockets into Israeli cities. It was almost always Israel which would strike first or assassinate political figures which would prompt them to launch rockets in retaliation.

The blood thirsty leadership of Israel bombs Gaza for no reason other than their own self satisfaction. Another reason is that no one would interrupt them in their war crimes process, the US and EU leadership hurries to condemn Eilat attack while barely giving attention, if any, to those civilians slaughtered in Gaza.

And of course, let us not forget that Israel started bombing Gaza on Thursday for no reason. There is no evidence of any connection between Gaza militants and Eilat attack. The only proof the IDF claimed was that Eilat attackers used AK47, which is a weapon that only comes from Gaza (In fact the AK47 or Kalashnikov is the world’s most common firearm). This was literally said on the tongue of the IDF spokesperson Lt. Colonel Avital Leibovich interviewed by the The Real News Network’s Lia Tarachansky as This site has brought it to my attention.
Tarachansky: On what are you basing your conclusion that this group [the Popular Resistance Committees] is responsible for the terror attacks?

IDF Spokesperson: We did not say that this group was responsible for the terror attack. We based this on intelligence information as well as some facts that [we] actually presented an hour ago to some wires and journalists. Some of the findings that were from the bodies of the terrorists, and they are using for example Kalashnikov bullets and Kalashnikov rifles are very common in Gaza

Tarachansky: Many terrorist groups use Kalashnikovs —

IDF Spokesperson: No, not many terror groups. I’m not saying — I’m referring to the terrorists that came from Gaza.

Tarachansky: Prime Minister Netanyahu said today that the group that was responsible for the terror attack was the one that was eliminated [in Gaza] and you’re saying that’s not the case?

IDF Spokesperson: I don’t know what he said [when speaking on Israeli national television] — I’m not Prime Minister Netanyahu. I’m saying that the group came from Gaza and I’m giving you proof why it came from Gaza — how we know it came from Gaza. This is all I’m saying.
Despite the continuing terror Gaza suffers, Israeli media is doing an even more horrible job. I spent yesterday going through almost all Israeli English news websites, non of those websites mentioned Gaza civilian deaths along with news on rockets coming into Israel. In the matter of fact, I kept reading news reports on Haaretz, Jerusalem Post, and Ynet to realize there is nothing about Palestinian civilian deaths, they only mentioned rockets, Israelis injured, and Gazan militants who were killed. Covering up the real news from the public is dangerous!

This tweet by +972 magazine’s Noam Sheizaf couldn’t describe it better

By reporting only rockets fired 2 Israel in its top stories & hiding news over dead in Gaza, Israeli media is making public want more blood

Tuba Skinny cancels show at jazz festival in Israel

Wissam Nassar/Maan Images

Tuba Skinny, a traditional jazz and blues band from New Orleans, planned to perform at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, Israel on 21 August. The international campaign “Don’t Play Apartheid Israel,” and the Israeli group “Boycott From Within” approached Tuba Skinny with the request to honor PACBI’s call for a cultural boycott of Israel.

One week before the show, Tuba Skinny received an open letter with information about the cultural boycott of Israel:
Jazz festivals take place every summer all over the world, and New Orleans jazz bands are in high demand. Jazz music is loved the world over, so why would it be considered inhumane to play at a Jazz festival?
In the case of the Red Sea Jazz Festival, music takes on a very political role, because of the well-known global BDS movement. The PACBI, (Palestinian Call for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel) has, since 2005, asked musicians to refrain from playing in Israel, and their call, representing Palestinian Civil Society, has become a global movement.
Thus, when a band, like Tuba Skinny, agrees to play in Israel, and break the picket line, it becomes very political.
Tuba Skinny announced the cancelation of their show in Eilat on their website.
The group has joined the picket line of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, Elvis Costello, The Pixies, the late Gil Scott-Heron, Carlos Santana, Pete Seeger, Massive Attack, Faithless, Gorillaz Sound System, The Tindersticks and the Klaxxons.

IDF Spokesperson: We DIDN’T say PRC was behind Eilat attack

Yesterday morning, I wrote a piece questioning the journalistic ethics of some in the Israeli media and, to a larger extent, the entire international press corps over of their rush to adopt the Israeli government claim that Gaza-based terror organization Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) were behind Thursday’s triple terror attack near Eilat. As the terror attack was unfolding, Israeli warplanes were warming up to carry out airstrikes in the Gaza strip without revealing any concrete proof  to the public confirming that the culprits of the attack were from Gaza.  After a night of bombing, a number of senior operatives in the PRC were killed along with a handful of civilians including children.
The Real News Network’s Lia Tarachansky asked IDF Spokesperson Lt. Colonel Avital Leibovitz  for evidence that the PRC was, indeed, responsible for the Eilat terror attack. Liebovitz responded that the Israel “did not say that this group was responsible for the terror attack.” This quote  distanced the IDF spokesperson from the public statements Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made on the evening of the attack placing clear responsibility on the PRC.  Backtracking in the interview, Liebovitz said,
We did not say that this group was responsible for the terror attack. We based this on intelligence information as well as some facts that [we] actually presented an hour ago to some wires and journalists. Some of the findings that were from the bodies of the terrorists, and they are using, for example, Kalashnikov bullets and Kalashnikov rifles [which] are very common in Gaza.
In response to this quote,  Paul Woodward at War in Context responded “So, the IDF says it “knows” the gunmen came from Gaza because they were using Kalashnikovs. That’s about as logical as saying they know they came from Gaza because they appeared to be Arabs.”

The simple yet difficult to answer question remains open, who is responsible for the Eilat terror attacks? If the PRC and Hamas, both of which have denied responsibility, are not the culprits, as Lt. Col Avital Liebovitz alleges in the Real News interview, why is Israel attacking targets in Gaza with overwhelming force?  Why are senior members of the Israeli and international press corps reporting unsubstantiated Israeli government claims as fact without doing the necessary legwork of revealing sources and providing verifiable proof of their material.

If the PRC episode is a harbinger of how the media is going to handle the next Israeli offensive in Gaza one sorry conclusion can be made, Prime Minister Netanyahu will be left unmolested with obloquy demanding that his government provide factual evidence to support their rationale for war.
