The Difference Between Jews and Zionists

Zionism VS Judaism

Occupation 101

Synopsis

A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions.

The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.
The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy. ZIOGEIST

The State of the Union

Israel is gearing up to celebrate its 63rd year of existence.

Palestine will be mourning the 63rd anniversary of its destruction.

Israeli sirens will sound in two months time in memory of those who perished in the Holocaust.

Palestine will be silent that day as no one mourns for their victims. It is illegal to even speak of these victims in Israel.

We are told that there never was a Palestine, that there is no such thing as a Palestinian, yet we see both of these nouns used in the press daily, both in the West and in Israel. What’s the deal on that?

We are told that ‘Israel made the desert bloom’….. by the sweat of whose brows? It was Palestinian labourers that did the tilling of the soil …. very often on lands stolen from their own family.

We are shown new settlements built to house ‘Jews Only’ residents, also the work of Palestinian labourers, also on the very lands stolen from their own family.

When the First Intifada broke out Israel was faced with a labour shortage due to closures and check points set up in the West Bank. The solution was to bring in foreign labourers. This plan backfired as these people began socialising with the Jewish population, often leading to romantic interludes which was cause for alarm in the racist rabbinical circles…… the solution was to deport them.

What was the zionist agenda on how to deal with the 3 Million (plus) Palestinians still living here? Deportation was not the solution, but rendering them homeless in an ongoing Nakba seemed more reasonable. We are witness to this on a daily basis both in Occupied East Jerusalem and in other localities. In Jerusalem we can see the latest moves in the following post from yesterday; THEY WANT TO DRIVE US TO THE SEA. In the Occupied West Bank we see a repetition of the following daily as well;

On Monday, 31st January, 2011, representatives of the Israeli government, accompanied by a demolitions contractor and the police, arrived in El’Araqib. They pulled the residents out of their homes and demolished the village for the eleventh time. The rubble was put on trucks and carried away.

JNF (Jewish National Fund) bulldozers (D-9 Caterpillars) started to level the land to prepare for forest plantation.

When they had finished, the residents started rebuilding their huts.
The next day the same forces returned and demolished the village again.
The JNF bulldozers continued working until the rain forced them to stop.

That same day human rights activists demonstrated in front of JNF offices in Jerusalem. After most of the demonstrators had left, the police came and fined a protestor who was drumming during the demonstration, claiming that he had made too much noise. Written by Amos

Aside from the daily acts of terrorism aimed at the Palestinian population, the arrests of their children, the murder of their children, the arrests of activists against the situation, the murder of same, the siege of Gaza, the wall separating families and friends, I can go on and on but I think you get the idea …. Israel claims it is searching for a ‘Peace Partner’. Israel has conned the West into believing that they are serious about this …. but all of the above, the actual ziogeist, speaks for itself and shows otherwise.

Peace must not be looked at as a concept, it has to be a fact! Peace will not become a reality until we all recognise the FACT that we are all brothers from the same Father.

So there you have the State of the Union …. a pretty pathetic one to say the least.

What sort of Christians become Zionists?

"We categorically reject Christian Zionist doctrines as a false teaching that corrupts the biblical message of love, justice and reconciliation" – The Jerusalem Declaration

Stuart Littlewood, Sabbah Report, 17 June 2010

Not all Jews are Zionists. Many reject the Zionist project and fight against it.
So why on earth would a non-Jew wish to be one? Indeed, how could a genuine Christian seriously consider becoming a Zionist? It has puzzled me for a long time. The two ideas are incompatible, are they not?
So consider for a moment Anglican Friends of Israel, as an example. Their stated aims include:
  • To support the people of Israel and to secure defensible borders for the State of Israel.
  • To recall the Church to G-d's Covenant with the Jewish people and to call the Church to affirm the centrality of Israel to the Jewish faith.
  • To call Anglicans to repentance for the wrongs – of both word and deed – inflicted by Christians on the Jewish people and the nation of Israel.
  • To fight all libels against Israel and the Jewish people and their State.
  • To protect the Christian communities threatened by Islamic extremism in the Middle East.

Are they Zionists? It sounds very much like it. For them Israel can do no wrong and Christians need to apologise to the Jewish people… er, what for?
And what makes them think that Muslims are more of a threat than Israeli extremists to Christian communities?
You should also see the sort of stuff the Anglican Friends of Israel post on their website.
AFI Press Release: The Mavi Marmara
Written by Anglican Friends of Israel
Wednesday, 02 June 2010
Anglican Friends of Israel are dismayed at international condemnation of Israel following attacks upon Israeli Defence Force personnel [by] a supposedly peaceful aid convoy… Israeli offers of peaceful means to deliver the aid into Gaza were refused. Video footage proves that the violence which tragically resulted in the deaths of some passengers and injuries to others including IDF personnel was begun by Aid convoy members… Terrorists in Gaza continue to fire rockets into Israel – over 60 this year so far – and to explode bombs in order to kill and maim Israeli citizens.
Western spokespersons might bear in mind that the terror threat to western nations springs from the same source as that faced daily by Israelis and be more circumspect in making demands on Israel before all relevant facts have emerged.
Anyone would be forgiven for thinking it was actually penned by the crapaganda unit in Tel Aviv. These Anglicans (if they are Anglicans) swallowed Israel's poisonous concoction hook, line and sinker and re-broadcast it while the abducted flotilla aid workers – witnesses to the murderous assault and executions – were incarcerated in Israeli jails and unable to tell the outside world what really happened.

I don't know of any danger to us from Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran, if those are the "terror" sources referred to. I doubt if groups who wish to see the Israeli nuclear threat to their region neutralised are also gunning for us, even though people like Anglican Friends of Israel and foreign secretary William Hague are doing their best to provoke them. But Israel of course wishes to make the British feel threatened and to draw us for strategic reasons into their schemes for permanent occupation and domination. There are always plenty of useful idiots to do their bidding.

A few days earlier the Anglicans issued a press release stating that the flotilla to Gaza was "a publicity stunt, not a genuine aid convoy". The item was actually a statement by the Israeli embassy repeated word for word and containing meaningless information like… "Since last year's January cease fire, 133 million liters of fuel entered Gaza from Israel – That's more than enough fuel to fill the fuel tank of every car and truck in Israel!" and "Since the ceasefire, well over a million tons of humanitarian supplies entered Gaza from Israel – That's almost a ton of aid for every man woman and child in Gaza."

Meaningless, because the figures lacked context. You have to go to the UN for that. Whatever Israel lets in, says the UN, it's only one-fifth of what's needed.

Some apparently responsible people, it seems, would rather accept without question the disinformation fed them by the Israeli authorities than on-the-spot assessments and reports by the UN and various charities.
Actually Israel is letting in only a quarter of what it let in before Hamas was elected.

Without question there was a publicity angle to the voyage. The organisers had a political point to make – the whole ugly US/UK-created mess out there is a political cesspit. The Israelis couldn't afford to see their illegal blockade breached. The evidence points to a planned execution raid on the Mavi Marmara in the dead of night with a pre-prepared hit-list.

And in a letter to the BBC these Anglicans insisted that Operation Cast Lead (Israel's blitzkrieg on Gaza after breaking the ceasefire with Hamas, subsequently killing 1400, maiming heaven knows how many and making hundreds of thousands homeless) was an act of "self-defense".

If you are as bewildered as I am why so-called Christians are persuaded to sign up to Zionism, a short paper explaining the phenomenon is available from Sadaka, The Ireland Palestine Alliance – see www.sadaka.ie. I found it very helpful.
"The destiny of the Jewish people is to return to the land of Israel and reclaim their inheritance promised to Abraham and his descendants forever. This inheritance extends from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates. Within their land, Jerusalem is recognised to be their exclusive, undivided and eternal capital, and therefore it cannot be shared or divided.
At the heart of Jerusalem will be the rebuilt Jewish temple, to which all the nations will come to worship God. Just prior to the return of Jesus, there will be seven years of calamities and war known as the tribulation, which will culminate in a great battle called Armageddon, during which the godless forces opposed to both God and Israel will be defeated.
Jesus will then return as the Jewish Messiah and king to reign in Jerusalem for a thousand years, and the Jewish people will enjoy a privileged status and role in the world."
That's the Zionist dream in a nutshell.

As I understand it, the Jews were expelled by the Roman occupation in 70AD, when the second temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, and again in 135AD.

These days the right of return is regarded as an inalienable right. But it should be exercised as soon as the reason for expulsion (e.g. foreign occupation) ceases. In the Jews' case an opportunity would have occurred in the 4th century AD as the Roman Empire collapsed. But they didn't take it. They can hardly expect to change their mind 16 centuries later. Their right expired a very long time ago.

By comparison the Palestinians' right of return after being ethnically cleansed in 1948 and ever since is much stronger because the enemy occupation has not yet ended and the UN has endorsed their right.

Nevertheless Zionists claim Jerusalem is theirs by heavenly decree. However, this holiest of cities was already 2000 years old when King David captured it. It dates back 5000 years and was named after the Canaanite God of Dusk.

Historians say that Jerusalem, in its ‘City of David' form, lasted a mere 73 years. In 928BC the kingdom divided into Israel and Judah, and in 597BC the Babylonians conquered the city and destroyed Solomon's temple. The Jews recaptured it in 164BC but finally lost it to the Roman Empire in 63BC. Before the present-day conflict the Jews, in total, controlled Jerusalem for some 500 years, whereas it was subsequently ruled by Muslims for 1,277 years. Before the Jews it belonged to the Canaanites. And for nearly 90 years it was also a Christian kingdom. A lot of competing claims, then, which is probably why the UN declared it should be independently administered as an international city.

In 1187 Saladin restored the city to Islam while allowing Jews and Christians to remain. Today Jewish religious groups want control of the city for their spiritual centre and for a third temple to be built in accordance with ancient prophecies. The plan to make the Israeli occupation permanent threatens especially the Muslim but also the Christian holy places and serves to keep political tension boiling. It is no surprise, given Israel's reliance on ‘black' propaganda, that when the Iranian president quoted the late Ayatollah Khomeini as saying the unfriendly regime occupying Jerusalem "must vanish from the page of time", he was immediately reported as wanting to wipe Israel off the map.

Sadaka puts the genuine Christian position by quoting The Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism, a statement by the Latin Patriarch and Local Heads of Churches in Jerusalem issued in 2006…
We categorically reject Christian Zionist doctrines as a false teaching that corrupts the biblical message of love, justice and reconciliation.
We further reject the contemporary alliance of Christian Zionist leaders and organizations with elements in the governments of Israel and the United States that are presently imposing their unilateral pre-emptive borders and domination over Palestine. This inevitably leads to unending cycles of violence that undermine the security of allpeoples of the Middle East and the rest of world.
We reject the teachings of Christian Zionism that facilitate and support these policies as they advance racial exclusivity and perpetual war rather than the gospel of universal love, redemption and reconciliation taught by Jesus Christ. Rather than condemn the world to the doom of Armageddon we call upon everyone to liberate themselves from ideologies of militarism and occupation. Instead, let them pursue the healing of the nations!
The Declaration, explains Sadaka, asserts that "Christian Zionists have aggressively imposed an aberrant expression of the Christian faith and an erroneous interpretation of the Bible, which is subservient to the political agenda of the modern State of Israel… Christian Zionism thrives on a literal and futurist hermeneutic in which Old Testament promises made to the ancient Jewish people are transferred to the contemporary State of Israel in anticipation of a final future fulfillment."

I haven't yet seen credible response from the Christian Zionists.

Alarmingly, the US-based Unity Coalition for Israel brings together over 200 organisations and is the largest pro-Israel network in the world. They claim to have 40 million active members and lobby on behalf of Israel through 1,700 religious radio stations, 245 Christian TV stations and 120 Christian newspapers.

The question I'd like answered is this. Are we to believe that an all-powerful supernatural Being has chosen and elevated one group of humans to a position of supremacy above all others, and has approved the use any means including murder and brutal eviction to achieve their goal, and now mobilizes millions of lesser mortals from around the globe, like those who regard themselves as upstanding Christians, to serve as tools and sing the praises of this ‘Grand Design'?

In the meantime I'm with the Churches of Jerusalem on this one.

It took an 89-year old woman, the formidable White House correspondent Helen Thomas, to prick the Zionists' over-inflated balloon when she said last week that the Israelis should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go home… to Germany, Poland, America and everywhere else."

The hatchet squad roaming America's den of iniquity promptly fell on her. They may have silenced her, and may even have destroyed this frail lady, but the power of her words will live on…

'Zionists give false name to Judaism'

Mon May 16, 2011 4:26PM GMT

Interview with Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss from the Neturei Karta International group

In an interview with Press TV, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of the Neturei Karta International group says that Israel should be dismantled because it does not represent the true Jewish people.

Press TV: The Nakba and the 63rd anniversary of that, what does that mean to the Jewish people when you hear about the Nakba, in general?

Weiss: With the help of the Almighty, should bestow upon me His Wisdom and should be able to convey His Truth...Our rabbis always said that we do not want to hurt the feelings or belittle the terrible Nakba, the catastrophe what is to the Palestinian people.

But to us Jews it is even a greater Nakba being that Zionism and its development into the state of Israel is a transformation of Judaism the religion, subservience to the Almighty; what it meant for all the thousands of years, this covenant that we made with God, is a simple transformation from that into a base materialism, a nationalistic goal.

It was created a mere hundred odd years ago by people who detested the religion, Theodor Herzl and so forth. And what they're doing is they're uprooting the soul of the Jewish people from around the world.

It says in our Torah if you make one sin it is worse than if you kill him. And the Jews gave their lives for the religion.

And by the Second World War, by Hitler, many Jews, when they had the option of giving up their children to convents and things to be saved, said they'd rather prefer they die as a Jew than live their whole lives not knowing and transgressing the laws of the Torah.

I'd just like to explain, with God's help, the concept of Zionism - which is nationalism - routed in blasphemy, “God doesn't protect us; we have to have our own protection.”

But God foresaw these types of thinking and, therefore, put us under oath that we are from King Solomon, that we are not to rebel against any nation, we should be loyal citizens in every country we are residing in, we should not go back in masse to the Holy Land, and we should not make any attempt to end exile.

Therefore, the concept of a Jewish sovereignty is antithetical to Judaism, forbidden. Even one inch of Jewish sovereignty, even if it were to be uninhabited, it would be forbidden for Jews. Therefore, for thousands of years Jews were forbidden to make their homeland.

Press TV: So you're basically saying that it is against Judaism for Jewish people to have their own state?

Weiss: That, but it is much more important to remember that it is just one facet of the picture because they created their own state to gain legitimacy. They made it this national home in Palestine and claimed it in the name of Judaism. They used the Jewish name to claim that it's some Godly issue. They hijacked and kidnapped the name “Jews.”

And now, they've come upon a technical problem for the Palestinian people living there; they've banished them from their homes. All the atrocities and all the 60 years of this terrible Nakba, to us our hearts are rent, Jews in Palestine and around the world who are true to the Torah, our hearts are rent by the suffering of the people; ongoing, everyday a new tragedy.

Today, what we've witnessed, our hearts are rent and we mourn. To us it's a double Nakba, a triple Nakba, and we are frustrated because it's being done in our name. There are no words to describe this Nakba. We want, and we pray for a speedy and total peaceful dismantlement of the state, this impediment to peace.

Press TV: I think it's very significant in that the mass media, the main media - the Western media - portrays all the time that there's this automatic clash between Muslims and Jews, or Muslims and Christians; whereas, there are never any problems between the Muslims and the Jews but that this has come up since the creation of Zionism.

Weiss: We are all encompassed in this tragedy, this Nakba because the Jewish community, the Jewish people have been living in Muslim and Arab lands for hundreds of years prior to human rights groups trying to protect us.

We've had this distinct difference in how to serve God, and we've flourished as a very religious community amongst very religious Muslim and Christian communities - we're talking about in the Arab and Muslim lands!

We were not massacred. I'm not saying there were never any bumps in the road but we were able to exist and flourish. In fact, according to the Jewish religion, we are required to show our gratitude for a safe haven, for a home provided for us, especially by the Spanish inquisition and the Crusades; and by the Second World War, Jews ran to Turkey and other Muslim countries.

All the sudden, since the Zionists and this political movement came along, we say it is totally void of religion, they put on the façade of religion in order to gain legitimacy, in order to glean sympathy, and they vilify the victim, the Palestinian people. And they say [the Palestinians] are anti-Semitic.

They use the term anti-Semitic, that they hate the Jews. How repugnant when they were our hosts, gracious hosts and safe haven; they abuse it as if it's a religious conflict. People are alive today who attest to the fact that we've coexisted, we've baby-sat with our precious children and we've coexisted.

It's really crucial to know that the chief Rabbi of Palestine, and all the heads of the communities, pleaded with the United Nations in 1947, prior to the state's existence, (Rabbi reads from a piece of paper) that “we furthermore wish to express our definite opposition to a Jewish state in any part of Palestine.” This was the chief Rabbi of the Jewish community saying we don't want this so-called Jewish state.

But they've used this façade of religion vilifying the victim.

We must say that the Jewish people do have a yearning to return to the Holy Land as a people. The concept of Judaism is we believe that one day God will make a metaphysical and miraculous change for all humanity to embrace and go up and serve God. Not, God forbid, stealing the land, driving people from the land, when we all together serve God.

What Zionism has done is taken the victim, vilified them, and created in the world a perception of these good people - our neighbors, our friends - as, unfortunately, animals or whatever you call it.

Press TV: You've brought up something interesting when you were talking about Israel. For a lot of Westerners, if you were to ask them about Israel, usually they would say that it's a Jewish state. What would you say to that?

Weiss: We would say that it's the State of the Satan. There's no other terminology because it's illogical to understand how a political entity which was built on the heads and shoulders of three communities - the Muslims, Christians and Jewish communities who were living there for hundreds of years - didn't want that it should be implemented on their backs. It was created totally selfishly because the majority of people were Muslim.

It's an ongoing destruction of people, and ongoing river of blood of Muslim, Christian and Jewish, mind you.

We'd like to show you that the Jewish people that stand in solidarity, the Jewish community that lives there in Palestine that were living there for hundreds of years, stand up unarmed and demonstrate and they get brutally beaten. We have hundreds of thousands that stand up.

Press TV: This is in Palestine?

Weiss: We have, around the world, a Jewish community that's been practicing their religion for hundreds of years. We have here in Washington D.C., this religious community (Rabbi presents a pamphlet with gory pictures), invariably, the more religious the more anti-Zionist. You go to Jerusalem and you'll find the same thing in the very large communities.

Still in all, they have been successful in telling the world that we represent Judaism; and the people who don't want us is not because they are suffering, legitimately, but they are suffering because they're anti-Semitic and anti-Jewish; these are self-hating Jews.

They ridicule these large respectful communities that are giving their lives to Judaism and to serve God. Like I say, it is the works of Satan; it is not a Jewish state.

Unfortunately, within the generations you will find that the USSR could take millions and millions of people and liquidate them, and refuse to allow religion. They've existed in the United Nations. In South Africa, apartheid could exist and be considered a legitimate state and be respectable and people did business.

Press TV: So, you're putting them on the same level?

Weiss: We're saying it's a lot worse. They're uprooting the souls of Jews. The Palestinian people are suffering daily; the emotional, physical, psychological scars for life. It's millions and millions of people.

The Semites, of course, are being used against the Jewish people and we do believe that the Jewish people are from Semites, but that's abused; the concept of anti-Semitism.

We hope for a speedy and peaceful dismantlement of the state of Israel - the impediment of peace - so we can all serve God.

Japan condemns Israeli settlement plans

Published yesterday (updated) 08/08/2011 17:21
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Japanese government expressed its "disappointment" on Monday at recent Israeli plans to build 900 homes in Har Homa settlement, a statement said.

"The Government of Japan does not recognize any act that prejudges the final status of the territories in the pre-1967 borders, and Israeli settlement activities should be fully frozen.

"Japan strongly calls upon Israel to refrain from any unilateral act that changes the current situation in East Jerusalem."

The government of Japan "strongly hopes" that peace talks will be resumed soon, the statement added.

Israel's settlement construction is a major obstacle to peace talks.

More than 300,000 Israelis live in settlements in the West Bank and another 200,000 live in settlements in East Jerusalem, which is also home to some 270,000 Palestinians.

Israel has occupied the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem since 1967.

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN (Song for Gaza)

In January of 2009, during the war in Gaza, Michael wrote and released a song in support of the Palestinian civilian victims. The song is called "We will not go down (song for Gaza)". It was posted on YouTube and originally made available as a free mp3 download. The response to the song has been overwhelming, to say the least. Here are a few stats:
  • Over 1 million views of the original video on YouTube
  • Hundreds of additional YouTube videos created by others using the song
  • Over half a million downloads of mp3
(not counting the mp3 downloads from other websites)
  • Over 10,000 emails, comments and messages of support
Contrary to the belief of some people, the song has absolutely nothing to do with religion (and the various online postings by people claiming that Michael is a follower of any particular religion are totally erroneous). This song is strictly humanitarian in nature. It has been, and continues to be, played on radio stations and television channels in several countries, and it was chanted in demonstrations and rallies all over the globe, with several available online. It has been translated into a dozen languages and subtitled on numerous clips. More than 500 new clips have been made with "We will not go down" by people all over the world, and thousands of websites have uploaded the clip and posted the lyrics. Many people have written to confirm they had donated to UNRWA, as requested by the artist after download of the song for free.

Most importantly, "We will not go down" has reached people in Gaza, who took advantage of rare moments of electricity access to send Michael emails full of touching and inspiring messages, describing their feelings of hope and determination when hearing the song.

Michael did not initially make the song available on iTunes. However, after the incessant inflow of emails he received from people inquiring as to why it wasn't available on iTunes, he has finally rectified this situation in July of 2010.

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN (Song for Gaza)
(Composed by Michael Heart)
Copyright 2009

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who’s wrong or right
But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

Occupation is a hazardous game
If you get your hands dirty it will burn you like a flame
They want us to bow down surrender our home town
For building colonies creating a show down

It's not political or meta-analytical
It's plain and straight war crimes targeting civilians
North American Indians, Australian Aboriginals
The people of the land all wiped into oblivion

It is never right to steal another people's country
Your uebermensch philosophy has smothered your morality
No fake excuses, no media control
Can cover up the crime
It is vivid to us all

Because in Palestine
There are people trying Just to live their life in peace
Though they're occupied
You can't control their lives
Because they're fighting to be free

Have you heard the story about 1948
I'm sure you've heard a story but not what took place
Ethnic cleansing like the kind you saw in Kosovo
Protected by the powerful and treated o so loveable

Justice? seems they don't know what that is
They say: power is a healthy way of solving this quiz
Military power, economical power
Without continuous infusions they wouldn't last an hour

You better stop breaking our bones
You better stop wrecking our homes
You better stop stealing our lands
Beware of the anger of the innocent

Because in Palestine
There are people trying
Just to live their life in peace
Though they're occupied
You can't control their lives
Because they're fighting to be free

It's a tragedy of inhumanity
Would you rather close your eyes?
Can't go on this way
Just wake up someday
Or you will have to pay the price

People of the world beware of Zionism
It's a racist ideology like National Socialism
United Nations Resolution 3379
You wiped it from the records but not from our minds

We will never give up
We're ready for the fight
Never give up
Beloved Palestine
Never give up
The struggle to survive
We're rising up
To rescue Palestine

We will never give up
We're ready for the fight
Never give up
Beloved Palestine
We're rising up
Intifada
We're rising up
Intifada

The Dos and Don’ts of Palestine

Poet Remi Kanazi shares some of the instructions given to activists for Palestinian causes.

By Remi Kanazi

don’t call it genocide
we don’t want to offend anyone
if we offend them
they’ll never listen to us
we have to be reasonable

1,400 is just a number
no names
no death
we want peace and negotiations

don’t mention Zionism
if you mention Zionism
they’ll call you anti-Semitic
and people will believe them

don’t cite Palestinian sources
no one will believe you
I won’t believe you
trust Israeli sources

don’t ever be angry
if you’re angry
they’ll call you angry
if they’re angry
everyone will call them
understandably emotional

we have to be pragmatic
pragmatism is not a euphemism
for concessions
although it may feel that way

don’t mention Allah or martyrs
it reminds them of Al Qaeda and 9/11
it’s not your job to fix their ignorance

don’t talk about refugees
boycott
or a one-state solution
if we want to win we have to compromise
the road to peace is just ahead

don’t make analogies that include
the Nazis, the Holocaust, or the Warsaw Ghetto
only Israelis are allowed to do this
when discussing wars on
Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran

don’t talk about Haifa, Yaffa, Safad
or where your family is from
but if you do
nod when random people say they love Israel
it doesn’t matter where you came from
you can’t actually go back

don’t
just don’t
and that will lead to doing

Video shows undercover Israeli police abducting a Palestinian minor while playing soccer

by annie on August 3, 2011

I will never get used to this. I hear about these arrests but this is the first time I can recall watching an abduction of a minor with all the hallmarks of a hostile kidnapping.

B'tselem
According to Jaber's testimony to B'Tselem, the undercover policemen forced him to lie on the floor of the vehicle and blindfolded him with a piece of cloth. He cried, out of fear and helplessness. While the vehicle was moving, the boy said, the undercover forces questioned him while slapping his face. Jaber was interrogated on suspicion of stone-throwing without having his parents present, nor was he given an opportunity to consult with a lawyer. He told B'Tselem that after he refused to sign a document written in Hebrew, the interrogators punched him and hit him with a club. He maintained his refusal and was released at the entrance to the Ma’ale Zeitim settlement, in Ras al-‘Amud, approximately an hour after he was taken. Members of his family had asked police representatives where he would be released and were waiting for him at the spot. Jaber's father took him to the emergency room at Hadassah Hospital, Mt. Scopus, where he was found to be suffering from external bruising. Jaber told B'Tselem that since the incident, he has been waking up at night from nightmares.
